We use four cookies of our own. They tell us how many people visit, which pages they read, and which of our own links brought them here. We do not run advertising cookies and we do not let anyone else place a cookie through our site.
A cookie is a small label your browser keeps for us and hands back the next time you visit. Ours hold nothing about you personally: no name, no email, no address. They hold a random string of characters that means nothing outside our own records, which is what lets us tell that one person read four pages rather than that four people read one page each.
We use this to run the firm's website, not to build a profile. It answers questions like whether anyone reads our tax insights, whether the careers page is easy to find, and which article was in front of someone before they asked us for a proposal.
| Name | What it holds | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
| cl_consent | Your answer to the cookie notice, so we stop asking. | 13 months |
| cl_vid | A random label for your browser, so a second visit is not counted as a second person. | 13 months |
| cl_ses | A random label for this visit, so the pages you read in one sitting are counted together. | 30 minutes |
| cl_src | Where you first arrived from: a campaign tag on the link you clicked, the site that linked to us, or nothing at all if you typed our address in. | 13 months |
All four are our own, set from claritas.co.tz. Nothing on this site loads an advertising pixel, a social network button that reports back, or any other company's tracking script.
Nothing is stored on your device and nothing links this visit to your next one. We still count the visit, using a label that exists only while your browser tab is open and is thrown away when you close it. Every part of the site works exactly the same either way.
If you accepted earlier and want to undo it, decline once and we will delete the three tracking cookies from your browser. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings at any time, or browse in a private window, which discards them when you close it.
If you have accepted cookies and you then send an enquiry, a quote request, a job application, or an event registration, we attach where you first arrived from to that submission. It sits beside your message in our records so we know which of our own efforts brought you to us. It is not used to advertise to you and it is not shared.
Write to info@claritas.co.tz and ask us anything about this, including to have your records deleted. Our privacy notice covers what else we hold and for how long.
